What goes through your minds when you think of this word? What visions automatically appear? I think for most people there are several default responses. One would be of a soldier who is in a dire situation and finds courage to preserver. The other tends to be a person facing a terrible illness. Both, of course are wonderful examples of the human spirit trying to overcome enormous obstacles. And as the examples show…when facing potential death we can be driven by basic instincts to not let go….to try everything ….and finally see one’s self in more clarity than in their past. We all celebrate this type of courage….wanting to think we could or could not do the same.
Now, we need to expand this conversation. What is courage in these new energies? What is it to be courageous? Our thought is that this type of courage is reflected in those who really choose to live ….fully….without apology…in an attempt to be one’s most authentic self. This is something that probably 99% of the people in this world do not do. I mean, really, we are known as a slave planet for a reason.
How many times have you had a thought about what you would do if you could? For most this would be some service to others idea that actually would turn into a service to self because of the joy it would bring….As it should be. And then sometimes afterwards the real world would begin to speak to you and tell you every reason why this would be silly or not work, etc. We have all experienced this….that is why we refer to it as a daydream. But alas, daydreams are just that…dreams, not reality.Right? Or at least that is what we have been told over and over again.
Now we are not talking drastic changes….although we believe if that is what is calling your soul , something drastic, then you should listen. May times it is smaller changes that require courage and would bring that joy. For some (although we say some….we really mean most) one of the most meaningful ways to bring joy is by simply talking and sharing experiences. And believe it or not, being genuine like this may require great leaps of courage. You want to say hello to strangers….you want to smile….you want to connect….but have been brainwashed to believe that anyone and everyone could harm you. If you haven’t figured it out, this is one of the main reasons for all of the news reporting crime after crime and all of the shows depicting how many ways a person can be raped, pillaged and plundered by a regular looking person walking down the street. It is a divide and conquers technique. You think it is some form of entertainment….but your subconscious is just reinforcing “stranger danger” after every segment. And if that is not bad enough, then they have to add all of the shows that show complete ridicule of persons stating their truth….to show you what will happen to you if you dare to show your true self. And don’t get me started on all of the political pundits that reinforce all of this dysfunction as well. But it has worked….it has really worked. We are just one big ball of tangled up mess. So now, we say, it is time to untangle ourselves…and yes, that will take courage.
Deny the known and manifest differently. This is an action of mind, heart and soul. It is not just a cute catch phrase. It requires courage to be open to the possibility that we, on a day to day, and minute to minute basis have actually been blinded by so many mis-truths. It means humbling one’s self to be open to the possibility that you have been just as much a sheeple as those you say are a sheeple…..yep….all of us. It takes courage to admit that. Because once you see yourself there….well, then how can you judge others for being there as well?
And when will you find the time to connect??? Oh yea….it is when you turn away from those things that are reinforcing separation. And why? Well, because if you do it you will find it fills your heart with joy. And filling your heart with joy raises your frequency and the frequency of all around you. (You should be getting this by now!!) So, we ask you….what makes your heart sing? Be your courageous self.
So what if you don’t know what you want? Well, we say go straight to the end. How do you want to be remembered? What would be on your tombstone? As morbid as this may seem to some….it brings you straight to the point. Start there and go backwards. I used this once in a class I was teaching. And I really had people take their time and not just rush through the exercise. It is actually quite meaningful.
One word plays over and over in my mind…..for me, Joanna, it is fulfilled. This one word has driven me to seek and to do my heart and souls calling in order to attain it. And with such a word there always seems to be more. I guess when I get to the point of wanting no more….well, I guess I will then be ready to cross over. But for now it is a beacon calling me.
So we encourage all to be courageous with yourself first….. go inside and see what you want out of life. Then be courageous and honor it.
